All D.N. Angel fans know the basic story line for the series... so I'll only say some (oh yea, and if you haven't figured out by now... I'm slightly... uhh... a freak! ^_~ )
Okay, so we got Daisuke Niwa, the main character (unless you think it's Dark... then boo hoo for you, you're just gonna have to wait). First episode you see him in, it's his fourteenth birthday, pretty typical. It starts off with this really cracked up ceremony thing in his basement. Anywho... Daisuke likes this girl, Risa Harada, so he works up enough courage, to ask her out. She turns him down... ON HIS BIRTHDAY!! Very wrong. So yea, he gets all depressed, and seductive Satoshi is all... hmmm... I wonder when he's gonna turn into Dark... BUH BUH BUM!!! He get's home and his kawaii little Uizu (Wiz... or With) is all "kyuu?" and uncovers this painting of Risa, and Daisuke gets all weird feeling, and turnd into Dark and steals things. There ya go, the first episode in a nutshell. Now, later on in the series, Satoshi... magical magical Satoshi, turns into Krad, and there's fighting, and all that good stuff, and Satoshi dissapears for a while. (just to confuse those who don't know) Daisuke likes Risa. Risa likes Dark. Dark likes Riku. And Riku likes Daisuke. Hows that for a love tirangle... well.. more of a love square. Then after a while, Dark breaks the news to Risa that... he don't like her...well too bad. Dasiuke and Riku end up getting eachother, and everything is beautiful. Well, not exactly... there is still the matter of the Second Hand Of Time and Freedert...
Freedert's story is incredibly sad, and tragic. Ice and Snow, the edited verson, because the real verson was to much for the public. But you're gonna hear Ice and Dark, the real version.
So we have Eliot, the son of a feudal lord. Kyle, Eliot's best friend, and Freedert, the girl that both of them like. All three grew up together, not caring of anyone's status, just having fun. Kyle began to
get feelings for Freedert, after Eliot and her had already confessed their love to eachother. So eachday he saw Eliot and Freedert, Kyle's anger grew. One day, Eliot had to go off to war, and Kyle and Freedert were left to wait for his return. Kyle went to the Toki no Byoushin, or the Second Hand of Time,what is yet another Hikari Production that had the power to, grant wishes? I don't know that's what it seems. So he goes to the Toki no Byoushin and wished for Eliot's death. Sadly, his wish came true, and Eliot died in the war. Freedert was devistaded, adn went to the Toki no Byoushin to get Eliot's life back, but a sacrafice had to be made, and that was her own life (as seen in the picture of the dead girl in the snow). Eliot came back from the war, looking for Freedert, but with no prevail, and a little sooner found out that she had died. So Eliot went to the Toni no Byoushin and gave up his life for Freedert's life. The whole thing ends up as Eliot gets trapped in the sword that Freedert had given him before the war the Toki no Kusabi I believe (I could be wrong) , and Freedert fuses with the Toki no Byoushin, feezing time, and waiting for Eliot's return. But, he isn't comming since he's in a sword. Kyle is a mess. His two best friends had just died, and it was because of him. So he left the village and wrote a story labeled "Ice and Dark" explaining the entire mess, then commit suicide. The story was re-named in the Cultural Revolution so that families could enjoy teh story without being aftraid of it, and it was re-named "Ice and Snow" which the D.N. Angel cast has to preform in a school play, with a few alterations.
Instead of Eliot being the hero... it's Dark, played by... Satoshi. Freedert is played by Daisuke, and Takeshi (what looks like he's very proud of his role) is village girl #3. All the girls are working backstage, while the cast is entirely made up of boys >.< kinda strange, but that's how the cookie crumbles or in Daisuke's case, how the dress fits? Kosuke (Daisuke's dad) finds the real verson of "Ice and Snow" after Daisuke gets trapped in there with Freedert.
